Hope

Schnauzer - Young - Female
Adoptable Small Up-to-date with routine shots

DOG BIOGRAPHY:   We wanted to update everyone on how our sweet Hope is progressing. In the three weeks since she was rescued from a horrific cruelty situation, she has become an amazing little dog. Her foster Mom reports that she has gone from being quiet and a bit shy, to a sweet and loving girl who, despite her disability, is a very easy dog to have around. She gets around the house very well following her foster Mom and can even go up and down a few steps. She is very friendly and captures the heart of everyone she meets. She just wants to be “one of the pack” and is great with other dogs. In fact, she managed to transform one of the Schnauzers in her foster home who was initially upset that she was there, into her best playmate. She has been exposed to kids and cats and does great with both. Overall, she is a pretty calm girl, and will have short bouts of puppy-like play, and then settle down again. She recently found her voice and will chime in when one of the other dogs bark. Hope has just started some special physical therapy to help her learn to walk with support for her hind end from a special harness, and then transition into her own wheelchair. In the meantime, MSRNT is looking for a special home for her, with a family that will be willing to keeping working with her, accept her unconditional (and sometimes silly) love, and give her the lifetime of kindness and love she deserves. Any donations toward her therapy and care are also very much appreciated!
